# Zoho Books connector

> Connect Zoho Books and pull invoices and customers into Alya Books for e-invoicing.

Source: /help/en/integrations/zoho-books

The Zoho Books connector reads invoices and customer contacts from your Zoho Books organization and creates them in Alya Books, where you validate and report them as PINT AE e-invoices. Access is read-only; Alya Books never writes back to Zoho.

## Connect

1. Go to **Connectors** and click **Connect Zoho Books** on the Zoho Books card.
2. The dialog lists the read-only permissions requested (invoices, contacts, items, settings). Click the connect button.
3. Zoho opens in a new tab. Sign in and allow access. You are sent back to **Connectors** with the message "Zoho Books connected successfully!" and the card shows **Connected**.

Owners and admins can connect; other members see the page read-only.

## Sync

1. On the card, click **Sync Now**.
2. Choose whether to **Include contacts**. Syncing contacts first lets Alya Books link each invoice to its buyer.
3. Pick a mode: **Full sync** (first time), **Date range** (with dates), or **Incremental** (only what changed since the last sync; available after a first sync).
4. Start the sync. The result view shows imported, updated, skipped and errors for contacts and invoices, and the **Sync history** panel on the card keeps every run.

## What is imported

- Invoices with their lines, dates and references, as Alya Books drafts. Zoho units are mapped to UBL unit codes. Each invoice is imported once; running the sync again skips it.
- Customer contacts, matched by name. Existing contacts are updated without overwriting data you entered by hand, and a TRN from Zoho is only used when the contact has none.

## Good to know

- Open the **Field mapping** panel on the card to see which PINT AE fields come from Zoho and which you must complete in **Settings**, **Contacts** or on the invoice, with links to each.
- Imported invoices are drafts: validate them, add anything missing (for example the buyer TRN) and submit.
- **Configure** on a connected card lets you switch invoice, contact and item sync on or off.
- Prefer files over a live connection? **Import Data** → **Zoho Books Export** imports CSV or XLSX exports.
