Check whether an invoice was delivered (delivery log)
Read the Deliveries card on a document to see every email, Peppol transmission and manual hand-over with its state.
Every document keeps a delivery log. It answers the question "did this reach the buyer?" separately for email, the Peppol network and deliveries you made yourself.
Steps
- Open the invoice, proforma, quote, reminder or cover letter.
- Find the Deliveries card. The badge shows how many deliveries exist; "Not sent yet" means none.
- Each row shows the channel icon and name (email, peppol or manual), the recipient, a state badge, the date and time, and below it the subject, Cc/Bcc, attachment file names and any messages.
- Use Resend (or Send by email if nothing was sent) to send again, and Record manual delivery to log a hand-over by post, courier or in person with Delivered to and an optional Note.
States
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| queued | Waiting to be sent |
| sent | Handed to the email provider or ASP |
| delivered | Confirmed by the receiving side |
| skipped | Not sent because no email provider is configured on the platform |
| failed | The provider refused it; the error text is shown |
| bounced | The recipient's server rejected the address |
Good to know
- "sent" does not mean the buyer opened the email; Alya Books does not track opens.
- The Peppol channel reflects the FTA lifecycle: submitted, delivered and reported are shown on the invoice status, and the delivery row mirrors the transmission.
- On an invoice, the Deliveries card, Send by email and Record manual delivery appear only once the invoice has passed validation; a draft shows a note instead.
- Viewers can read the log but cannot resend or record deliveries.
- Manual deliveries have no attachments; they are your own record.
- Integrations get the same data from the invoice status endpoint, and the
invoice.sentanddocument.sentwebhook events fire when a delivery is recorded.
